This Christmas festive season, the former President made a surprise visit at the Jelleff Club, a boys and girls club in Washington, D.C. in a Santa Hat and a bag full of gifts. A video his communications director posted on Twitter showed him laughing and carrying a bag full of presents, with dozens of cheering, ecstatic kids crowding around him and shaking his hand.
“Here’s some Christmas cheer,” she wrote. “Check out @BarackObama surprising kids at the boys and girls club.”
Needless to say, the kids were thrilled to see Barack Obama dressed as Santa Claus.

Obama himself tweeted, “There’s no better time than the holiday season to reach out and give back to our communities. Great to hear from young people at the Boys & Girls Club in DC today.”

A group of excited children can be seen gathered around him as he beamed at them and showered them with gifts.
Other famous pictures of Obama and kids are often featured on the Instagram account of former White House photographer Pete Souza, like one famous one in which Obama laid on the floor of the Oval Office, playing with a baby dressed in an elephant costume.
Despite not being in office, the former President has made his presence felt. That’s the power of Obama! To be honest, it’s heart-warming to see that a man who’s a suited-up dignitary for the world, can turn into a goofy, fun-loving guy for the kids.
