A German pop singer and songwriter, she insisted from a very young age that she was a girl. Born as Tim Petras, her parents were very understanding and dressed her in gender neutral clothing in public. By 2007, Petras was recording and uploading videos of herself singing online where she was discovered by Fabian Gorg. In 2008, after singing up with “Joyce Records”, she released two new songs. She is known as one of the youngest people to undergo gender reassignment surgery; she was sixteen. (Source)

Serbian Australian model Andrej Pejic is androgynous and famous for his ability to model both male and female clothing. In January 2011’s Paris fashion shows he walked both the men’s and women’s shows for Jean-Paul Gaultier and the men’s shows for Marc Jacobs. Caroline “Tula” Cossey (nee Barry Kenneth Cossey) is an English model who is one of the best-known trans women in the world. Cossey had a small role in the James Bond movie The Living Daylights, posed for Playboy, and wrote an autobiography about her experiences as a transsexual model and actress called “I Am A Woman.” (Source)

This Dutch singer and TV star first started singing in children’s choir, which produced several albums. Often mistaken for a girl, she participated on ‘DE Travestiet Show’ in 1997 and was the youngest contestant they’d ever had at seventeen. Two years later, she underwent gender reassignment surgery. She also appeared as a contestant on ‘Big Brother’, finishing as a finalist. She returned to her musical roots and later appeared on six more TV shows before releasing her single “I Am What I Am”.

9. Jenna Talackova

After gender reassignment surgery in 2007, this Canadian model started gaining her fame in 2012. She shocked the media by winning her case to be allowed to compete in the “Miss Universe Canada” pageant. She was initially disqualified and not allowed to complete because she’s transgendered. Previously competing in ‘Miss International Queen’, a pageant for transgendered women, she made it to the top 12 and was awarded the title of Miss Congeniality in ‘Miss Universe Canada’. India’s Malika is a trans woman who has undergone four surgeries and countless other medical procedures to become the woman she feels she was meant to be at birth.
